It's that time of year once again, when the Primary kids are doing their Sacrament Programs, and Jaylee had her very 1st one this last Sunday!! We had put the songs for the program on her MP3 player and let her listen to them so she knew them REALLY well. I also made a CD for her that we would listen to in the car, since I needed to know them as well. Needless to say, she was super prepared for this program!! Jaylee LOVES to sing, and when she knows a song, she loves to sing really LOUD!!! So we go to the practice our ward had on Friday, only to learn that Jaylee who is 4, was put on the 3rd row back. She was on the 2nd which wouldn't have been a big problem, at least she would have been seen a little, but then they moved her back. Well I told them on Friday that you can't even see her and she really needs to be moved up. Well they hummed and hawed over the fact and made the comment that they don't want her to overpower the other little kids on the front row, but I just kept telling them, but she's 4 and little. So they tell me that they are going to move her up and switch spots with one of the 6 year olds. So imagine my surprise on Sunday to find that while yes they did move her, they moved her over one seat so now there was no way at all to see her since she was now right behind the pulpit. The pulpit with the microphone, which would really pick up her singing!! WHAT? I was so mad. Maybe it shouldn't have bothered me as much, but come on!! You have all of the other little kids in the front, so their parents and grandparents can see them in their first Sacrament Program, but you leave mine so that there is no way she can be seen. She still sang her little heart out, but not like she typically had done, and she did a GREAT job with her little speaking part!! I got to see her, but poor Brady who was towards the back with Kynna couldn't see her at all!! I guess all you can do now is say, at least there is next year?!!

Jaylee the hairstylist?
Saturday September 17,2011
I will never really be able to figure out why my daughter who LOVED her princess hair, decided to play hairstylist and cut it with her preschool scissors!! It had been a GREAT day so this came as a total shock!! We were both working on crafts, I was making a new flower headband for her and she was cutting paper. She using scissors daily almost so it's not a big deal for her. I had just mentioned to her that she was getting papers all over the floor, so she walked into the kitchen. I assumed she was still cutting paper over the garbage like she has done many times since she HATES to cleanup when she is finished. Well a couple minutes later, she comes bouncing out of the kitchen showing off her hair, saying "Look at my hair!!!" My eyes got huge, and I just said "Oh no!! Why did you do that?" I really don't think that she completely realized what cutting her hair meant, because when I told her that we would have to have Aunt Marlee cut it really short to fix it, she began to sob and sob and sob!! She hasn't cried that hard in who knows how long but she was really upset!! She kept asking me to glue it back on and then she would say, I want my bouncy hair back!! So I call my sister-in-law, Marlee and ask if they are going to be home that evening since Jaylee had her first Primary Program the next morning. Lucky for us they were home so I take her over there around 8pm to get it fixed!! It was seriously like 7 different lengths, and in the front she has some super short areas and one spot that is cut to the scalp. Lucky for her and me( I don't know how to do short hair) Marlee was able to cut it a little longer then those smaller areas, and just part it so those spots are covered with some of the longer hair!!
This is her just after it happened laying in her bed!! She locked herself in her room and just cried!!!
Just before getting in the bath to wash what was left, she did let me snap a few pictures of what she had done!!
The side look!!
At Aunt Marlee's getting it fixed!! She did not want anyone to talk to her about what she had done, and she didn't want anyone to see it. I did get her to come in, but she would act like she was super tired or sleeping when someone tried to talk to her about it!!
The new Jaylee hairdo
For Church I flipped the ends up and put in a headband. It was super quick and it really did look cute!!
She misses her long hair, and when drawing pictures of herself, she draws her long hair. She tells me that she liked that the new haircut didn't take very long to do, but she wished she hadn't cut her long princess hair. It was down to her bottom, but this new hairdo will be a nice change!! And it will grow back fast!!!
Tenley and Jaylee
We had Tenley over playing one day, but of course it was Thursday and we had a few errands to run!! One of which being our car needing to have the oil changed, so we were out in Bountiful. There is a McDonald's right across from the place that was doing the oil, so we let the girls go play in their playland!! It was so much fun to hear these 2 squealing in delight as they played!! We tried to steal Harper as well, but she had to go somewhere while her mommy went to a meeting!! Next time!!! Jaylee is so lucky to have cousins her age!! I didn't have any close to my age at all, so I kind of missed out on this adventure!!!
Thanks for playing Tenley!!!
I Love her lips...
MaKynna has the most adorable lips EVER!! And I just love to watch her drink from a straw!! She is getting so big and tries so hard to keep up with Jaylee!!
D is for Donuts...
When you're 4, you can get away with D is for Donuts!! Since we were talking about the letter D at Preschool, we decided that on Daddy's day off we would go over to Krispy Kreme and see how they make their doughnuts!! Jaylee LOVED watching the donuts be made and Kynna LOVED eating the donuts!! I love that they give you free ones when you go in when the light is on. We never get their donuts since Brady is the only one that really likes glazed, but it was fun!!
I think J had a bite of hers, she was more into the hat!!
Kynna is getting more daring and is now trying to climb up onto things!!
It was a fun D week!!!

Bear Lake 2011
OH Bear Lake, how I missed you!! I love Bear Lake and look forward to getting some water-time up there each summer!! My in-laws own a home on the beach on the East Shore, so because I love being on the water, we make it a tradition to go up during the summer to play. Because I was super Prego last year, I didn't get to go, but I made up for it this year!!! We went up Wednesday evening and came home Sunday evening!! We played on the wave runners, 4 wheelers, the boat, the kayak, and just swimming in the lake!!! We met some new friends, which was nice since Jaylee needed someone to play with. Kynna ate a whole bunch of sand!!! Brady was able to relax and enjoy some of his book!! We had a really nice time and I already look forward to next years trip!!!!
So the following picture just makes me laugh!! Jaylee insisted on sleeping on the top bunk, and when we woke up the next morning, this was how I found her and her baby asleep!! I just laughed because when I was little, I slept sideways in my bed, and all kinds of crazy!!! Also when Jaylee was just super little, she slept sideways in her bassinet as well!!!
On the paddle-boat!! Personally, not my favorite of the Bear Lake toys, but it was fun to take the girls for a ride together as a family!!!
This is by far my favorite photo of the girls playing in the sand. Pretty much every morning, they would spend some time playing in the sand before they ever touched the water!!!
Jaylee and Zander trying to skip rocks across the water
Jeff pulling Jaylee and Zander in the little row-boat
Brady and Jaylee on the silver wave-runner. She is funny, she would beg to go out for a ride but about 2 minutes after being out, she wanted to go back to the shore. I could usually convince her to stay out a minute longer if I told her I needed her to drive the wave-runner. She would go really fast if she was controlling it but if I tried to go that fast she would freak out!!!
Brady and Mike playing around on the wave-runners
Jaylee finally got on the floating-dock
Do you see how dirty she is? This was how bad she was every night!! She would full on lick the shoes of people who had mud on them and she wouldn't even flinch!!!
Trina, Jaylee, Jeff and Zander on the silver wave-runner and Brady on the red!!
Good thing Brady likes the Red Wave-runner better since I love the Silver on and typically only drive it now!!!
Oops forgot to rotate this before posting it!!! Kynna and Poppa sitting on the beach
This is Kynna and I on the silver wave-runner. She just sat there and didn't move and didn't make a sound!! IT was pretty funny!!! She did LOVE the 4-wheelers though!!
Jaylee on the ski-trainer. To bad she wouldn't try this behind the boat and then when she wanted to try it behind the wave-runner, it had lost a bunch of air and she didn't ever get to try it!!!
This was Jaylee most of the last day-hanging on the beach!! Not sure if she was just super tired or bored without her little buddy Zander, but she hardly played in the water at all the last day!! Again sorry for the sideways picture
I had made a Bear Lake Journal for Jaylee and she would write and draw pictures in it while we were making meals or waiting on someone to finish getting ready in the morning. I also made her an "I spy "B" things" book since we were talking about the letter B at school
Nanny was wonderful to have around since she would take Kynna up for naps during the middle of the day!!! Poor Kynna is use to taking 2 naps and she was lucky to get 1 good one while we were up there, but she was still pretty good and pretty happy considering!!
Our family on our VERY slow tube ride!! Jaylee was in control of the speed and she didn't want to go very fast at all!!
Brady rode the tube back into the shore when we were finished-not is cup of tea but since I had just had a major wipe-out I was pretty well finished with that thing!!!!
Kynna and I on the boat
Jaylee sitting in the co-captains chair!! I pretty much think that she tried out every seat on the boat except the captains seat, well she did that while it was being brought in!!
Self-portrait!! Gotta love the fact that this girl LOVES the camera!!!
