Happy Birthday Uncle Jason!!!

Today is Uncle Jason's Birthday!! We went out to breakfast with him this morning and had a good time after we sang Happy Birthday to him in 3 languages!! It was fun!! We are glad you were able to make it this morning!!!

This is the cake I made for him last weekend as a surprise!! It turned out pretty well considering it was the first time I had ever played with fondant!!

Brady didn't work until this afternoon so we went over to Camp Verde to have Breakfast with Aunt Say and Uncle Jason since Say is down for a few days working on her car and it was Uncle Jason's Birthday!! We had a good time but wish everyone was able to be there with us!!!

Elder Reidhead and the Philippines Flooding

So I get this email this morning from my dear friend Michelle about her son Jordan being in the midst of all the crazy storms in the Philippines. As I'm looking through the pictures she sent the link for I am just thinking about her son Jordan who is serving a mission there. So after about 75 of these devastating pictures I decide I should just call her and find out if Jordan is okay. Well the link that she sent had this picture yesterday on it but today it's a new feed. Jordan is the one in the white shirt(a Snowflake Lobo's shirt to be exact). He is fine and Michelle got an email from the Mission Presidents wife since none of the Elders will be around to email their parents this week since they are all out helping clean up. I am so proud of this young man. I use to babysit Jordan along with his brother and sister. These kids will always have a very special place in my heart. And their mom is such a dear friend of mine and a wonderful example!!

I am so proud of you Jordan!! Thanks for being such a great example of service!!

Today is Aunt Mandy's Birthday and we want her to have a VERY Happy Cake-a-licious Day!! We Love you and miss you and wish we could be there to have some cake with you!!!

Happy Birthday Great Papa!!

Today is Great Papa's Birthday!! He is so special to me!! I've always had a special relationship with him and the lee part of Jaylee's name came from Grandpa!! We hope he has a special day and eats lots of cake for us!! We Love you Great Papa!!!! Great Papa when he served in the Army during World War II
For his birthday we made him a nice book from pictures of him during the war. It turned out so nice and he LOVES it!!

Happy 1/2 Birthday!!

Today is Jaylee's half birthday!! We asked her what she wanted for her 1/2 birthday and she said Chicken and Fries. She's our cheap date that's for sure!!! She is growing up so fast and is so independent!! We love her so much and love having her in our family!! These pics are from our family pictures taken a week and a half ago. Happy 1/2 Birthday Bug!!!!

Grandpas

This last week has been very eventful for our Dad's (Jaylee's Grandpas).

Papa has had a not so great of week. Last Friday he had a mini stroke and had to spend the night at the hospital. He was having a hard time breathing and after being on Oxygen for an hour it didn't get any better and his heart rate was really low. His right side was numb and he had to drag his leg when he walked. But because of the type it was, he shouldn't have any lasting effects. It was just a little scary!! We are so glad you are doing much better Papa!! We Love you!!

Poppa on the other hand, is up for re-election for Layton City Council and the Primaries were on Tuesday. He came in first!! We are so proud of him!! Make sure all you Layton friends get out and vote again for him in November for the final election!! We wish we were there to help with all the signs again!! We Love you Poppa!!

Jaylee's First Big OUCH!!!

Jaylee has really been in to this whole jumping on the couch and chair lately. We stop her every time she does it because it's not okay in our book. We keep telling her she's going to bounce off and get hurt. Well the other day it happened. I was sitting in the chair and she crawled up and started bouncing on the arm of it and just as soon as I told her to stop she fell off. Well I wasn't quick enough to crab her and she didn't cry to bad at first. Brady jumped up immediately and picked her up but she wanted me. Well her head went against my cheek and then she saw the blood. We didn't know that it was even bleeding until Brady looked over again. It was REALLY bad and with all of her hair it looked even worse I'm sure. Well after finally being able to find the actual cut we decided it would only maybe need a stitch and that she would be more traumatized by all the hospital stuff then it would be worth. My mom told me to tie her hair in a Knot and that seemed to get it to stop bleeding finally. Well it's a nice little cut but nothing horrible. It was scarier to see her poor head covered in blood then anything!! Needless to say we kept her up until around 11pm that night to make sure she was okay and then she slept in our room just so we could make sure. Well her dear Grammy told her she could have as many Popsicles as she needed that night and so now she tells about getting hurt and then tells me that Grammy said she could have a Popsicle. It's been almost a week and she still thinks she needs them. Today was the first day that she jumped on the couch again since then. But once I reminded her of when she fell and hurt her head she stopped. Hopefully that will forever keep her from jumping on the furniture now!!
