Sicky Sick Sick!!!

Jaylee and I have both had this nasty cold and Flu!! We're so lucky!! So Brady gets up early this morning and always shuts the doors so he doesn't wake any of us up. Well he shut J's door and all of a sudden we hear J say "Hi Daddy!!" Well Brady almost stepped on her!! She had decided sometime during the night that she wanted to sleep on the living room floor!! She got a pillow and blanket and made herself a bed!! I know around midnight she was up and talking but I just thought that was the extent of it. Well obviously not!! We just laughed and tried to make her go back to bed but she was wide awake so that wasn't happening!! Now she's moved to the couch and made herself comfy there. Let's hope we both get over this sickness really soon!!!!

Happy Birthday Brady!!

Brady's birthday was on the 26th but Jaylee and I have been sick so I haven't been on here since his birthday!! He got most of his gift back at the end of April when we went to see the Cubs game and all of that!! We did give him another surprise on his birthday but nothing like the game!! Well I decided to make him a Topsy Turvey cake!! I've been wanting to make one and of course he had to ask for German Chocolate Cake. The frosting is a pain to deal with as you can see some of it falling down the side!! I made a few mistakes and I think it would look better with a more concrete frosting that's for sure!! It was fun though!! We had a birthday BBQ at our place with some family!! And we just made it a May and June birthday party!!
WE love you Brady/Daddy!!!

A little Western Birthday Party...

Saturday we had Brian and Adam's Birthday party. They are going to California for a month to spend time with my parents so their parents had their birthday party early. Well of course the biggest rain storm of the year had to think it was invited as well. We still had a blast though!! It was a western themed birthday party!! It was at this ranch that host weddings all the time and Kevin and Michele had it catered!! It was so nice and so fun!! Mom and I had found some hats so we were all decked out as well!!

All the Cowboys and Cowgirls they did have a couple little kids that came later!! They looked so cute in their outfits!! Their not really the country type but it was fun to dress them up!!
The Western town cake-I get some crazy ideas sometimes!! Good thing my mom was here to help me with this one!! And don't look to close at the Saloon-someone (no names mentioned) put their hand on it while trying to put it together!!
She makes a cute cowgirl even though she carried her hat most of the night!!
Birthday Cowboy-Adam Lee turns 6 on June 24th.
Birthday Cowboy-Brian Lee turns 9 on June 5th
These cowboys made out like bandits with all the gifts!!

Jenise's High School Graduation...

Our oldest Niece graduated from High School Friday Night. Of course her graduation had to be similar to mine where it rained right up until it started and returned about 15 min. after it was done. It's so crazy to think that Jenise has now graduated from High School. We were all talking about the year and how 40 years ago it was my parents, 20 years ago it was Brady and 10 years ago it was me and now Jenise. We are so grateful that we were able to be there to see her walk across that stage and get her diploma. We are so proud of you Niecer J and love you so much!!!

Adam's Kindergarten Graduation...

Our nephew, Adam had his Kindergarten Graduation on Thursday. Jaylee and I were able to attend. He was so cute and their theme was "You're a Grand Ol' Flag." Adam was the flag carrier so he marched out first. He was so cute during the ceremony!! We love you Adam and hope you have lots of fun in 1st grade next year!!

Jaylee and Uncle Kevin

Papa and Jaylee...

My brother Kevin and his wife, Michele, gave Jaylee a V-Smile game system. Well she volunteered Papa into playing with her. They were cute and she loved it!!

Grammy and Papa come to town...

My parents have been here this last week for all of the graduations and award ceremonies that have been taking place with their grandchildren. They came in last Monday, so we all met for ice cream. It was a fun evening!!

The tomato snatcher...

So I was getting stuff ready for dinner one night and all of a sudden I was missing a tomato. I looked all over for that thing. Jaylee was being really quiet so I went to see what she was up to and this is what I found. I guess she didn't want to wait anymore for dinner!!

A little Behind...

It's been a little crazy around here lately, so as a result our blog is way behind!! I'll start with the older things first.
Like Mother's Day!!! I don't have any pictures I guess unless I put them in a different folder, but I got spoiled and had a great day!! Brady and Jaylee take great care of me and gave me some wonderful gifts!! Things I really wanted mostly which is great!! They made me breakfast (crepes with Strawberries) then I got to open presents and then it was off to church. Brady had to work right after, but it was a relaxing day!!

This is Jaylee's new favorite activity. She'll go and get a pair of Brady's socks and put them on. It's so funny to watch her!!! She's a character!!!

An Early Mother's Day gift...

Brady and Jaylee gave me an early mother's day gift. They made this little Wheelbarrow planter thing together and put stickers all over it!! It's way cute but I don't think Jaylee is truly ready to give it up!! She is a little possessive over it!!
Above- I love the expression on her face here!! She's really getting into this hammering!!
Above- This is why I think she's not ready to give it up!!

She was so proud of it when it was done!!

Look what Jaylee is getting now:

The Friend!! We had to renew our subscription and we decided it was time that we started getting the Friend for her. She was so excited when she saw it!! I had picked it up a little later and she told me "No, Jaylee's Friend!" So I guess she likes it!!

More planting...

So on Tuesday, Brady and Jaylee planted the rest of our garden plants that have been hanging out in the kitchen. Daddy put on his hat and Jaylee was determined that she needed one too but her swim hat is the only one that is remotely like his so she had to wear it. While Daddy set up everything, Jaylee played on her slide!!

Who wouldn't want to be married to this guy????!!!!!

Now all of our garden is planted and doing very well!! It's been really hot the last couple of days so we had to put up the shade cloth!! We have a couple of tomatoes that are doing REALLY well with fruit already on them. Jaylee just loves to be outside and water the plants!! It's her special time with Daddy that Mommy can't help with!!

Owl Family Update:

We were in Home Depot last night checking out a few things so I had to get some new pics of the little Owl family. The babies are getting bigger and are venturing out of the nest a little!! The mommy was no where to be seen, which I guess is a sign that the babies are almost ready to leave the nest, and of course the dad was an aisle away keeping an eye on the babies.
Below: One of the babies in the same spot we saw the mommy the other day!!
Below: The daddy watching out for the babies
These pictures are a little blurry. It was getting dark and the outside lights had not yet come on!!

Mother's Day projects...

On Friday and Saturday, I was watching my sister's 2 girls and we all decided to do a mother's day project for their mom. Well of course Jaylee thinks she can do everything that all the big kids can do so she made one too. I told Brady he had to help her finish it since I wasn't about to make my own present!! It's still not finished!! Nikki and Lizzi's turned out really cute though and I know their mommy will love it!!

And after project mother's day, they got dressed and I made the girls let me do their hair. It's so nice doing hair on a girl that will actually sit still and do what you ask!! Lizzi's turned out super cute!!
Nikki wanted pig tails and braids so I did a rendition of those styles but a little different!! It was cute also!!
