New Years 2011

For New Year's we went to Bouwhuis' and had a great night of games, food and company!! Brady's sister Marlee came up with all of these fun things for the kids to do every hour, to keep them awake and entertained and not just running around everywhere all night. We had a good night and went home shortly after midnight. It was a fun night!!

Kynna woke up from all of the noise at midnight!! But was quickly asleep again!!
It was super cold New Years but that didn't keep the kids from doing their fireworks!!

Happy New Year 2011!!!

Kynna loves baby food

For Christmas-In her stocking MaKynna got some Baby food!! We started with Rice cereal of course, but she would gag on it. Who could blame her it's nasty. So I started adding a little of something else to it to give it a better taste, and she LOVES it!! She is such a loud eater though. With every bite she has to let you know how much she likes it, constantly saying MMMMMM. It's super cute and way funny!!! And even though my J isn't the greatest eater herself, she is such a great encouragement to her baby sister. A friend from church gave me a bunch of baby food. I mean 3 boxes of Rice Cereal and such and about 50 jars of baby food. Most of it was bananas however, there were 2 cans of this beef & beef gravy. So I decide to finally try this one the other day, and oh my!! I about puked when I got a smell of it. Yuck!! Can you just say Baby Dog Food!! Of course Kynna gaged on it like no other and Brady told me to ditch it!! I wasn't even brave enough to try this one!! Why do they feel like they need to have this nasty stuff for such little babies? Seriously I think they'll be okay without the beef for a little longer!!

Anyways, baby food with Kynna is going great!!! She'll eat most things and just loves it so much!!!

The Neighborhood Chicken

We have this chicken that seriously roams the neighborhood. We don't even know who it belongs to really. Well this chicken sleeps in the tree above our car like 90% of the time and Jaylee loves to find her. It's pretty funny!! The Chicken LOVEs Jaylee and will come up to her all the time!! I swear one of these days it's going to jump in our van too!! About a week ago when Kynna was so sick, Jaylee was laying in bed with me and all of a sudden we hear this weird noise. I thought it was Kynna so I went to check on her and she was sound asleep. Well we heard it again and Jaylee realized in was coming from our window, so I pull back the curtain to find that darn chicken pecking at the window!! It was back the other day too!! Silly Chicken as Jaylee likes to call it!!

Temple Square at Christmas

After our train ride to Salt Lake, then a movie at the Clarke Planetarium and then some late lunch, everyone else headed back but we decided that we wouldn't have another chance to come back to Salt Lake before Christmas since we had so much going on. So we stayed behind and shopped a little, and then took Trax to Temple Square where we hung out until the lights came on. It was so beautiful!! We had such a good time and it was nice to just hang out together. Of course everything was super crowded but we didn't mind at all. The train ride home was nice and we were so glad that we didn't have to try to park in the Salt Lake mad-house nor drive the short 30 min drive with the weather teetering on whether it wanted to snow or not.
Jaylee loves this statue and was so excited to show it to her Daddy!!
Kynna couldn't figure out why we kept saying it was so cold-she was nice and toasty!!!
She looks so happy-okay not really!!! But oh how I love her!!!
This was Jaylee's favorite place that night and I couldn't agree more with her!!!
Our families unanimous favorite thing!! The bubble lights on the reflecting pool!!! They were so cool!!!
The pictures don't do justice for how beautiful everything is!! Oh how I've missed being able to see this every year!!!
Brady and Jaylee in front of the lights!!! It was a little cold!!
Kynna on the train home!!! She is such a good baby!!!
Finally back to our station!!! I'm so glad we decided to stay in Salt Lake a little longer!! We had such a fun time and it was nice to just look around at all of the beautiful lights and Christmas decorations!!!

Movies-Love them!!!

I would say this was the season of movies!!! I love movies and so does Jaylee!! But Brady isn't a huge fan so it's a rare occasion for us to go to the movie theater to see something. Well during Christmas, we went to 4!! Brady wasn't there for the Preschool one but Jaylee and I had a blast, and I think we're going to have a follower with Kynna!! Our favorite outing was when we rode Frontrunner down to Salt Lake but our favorite movie was probably Tangled though. Anyways the kids loved riding the train down to Salt Lake!!!
Waiting for the train-she kept getting a little close so needless to say when the train finally came, we held on to her just to make sure she didn't get to close!!
The 3 3-year olds!!! They loved watching everything from the second level of the train!!!
And Happy Gideon with Poppa!!!

How many times do we need to see Santa?

Seriously who needs to see Santa more then once per year? Well according to my little Jaylee, she does. We saw Santa a total of 8 times this Christmas!! And every time she had to talk to him and tell her what she really wanted-a horse and the barbie with the horse and carriage. It was the same every time but it was cute to see her taking a liking to him finally!!

She was so hungry!! Poor girl but I didn't have a single picture of her alone with Santa from all the other visits so I had to grab one!!

A Few Christmas Pictures...

Our Christmas Season was jam-packed with a million things this year!! But we enjoyed ever moment of it!! We didn't take as many pictures as usual since most of it we recorded this year. But don't worry I still have a bunch!!
So Christmas Eve Eve we decided that we wanted to open our family gift since Brady would be home the entire next day and the next and even the next. We were so excited to finally get to play with our wii!! It's great being the parents and getting to decide to open stuff when we want!! Jaylee, of course, opened it for our family!!

Our Family gift!! We finally joined the rest of the modern world and got a gaming system!!
Kynna being a good sport as always!!
Brady getting his controller
And Jaylee getting her pink controller!! We had so much fun playing the next couple of days!!!
Christmas Eve Night-we went to Brady's Parents for dinner and for the kids to open their books. What a fun and great tradition!! We LOVE books so it's great to know that every year they get one from them as well!! Everyone else had brought up their nammers for their families, but we hadn't so we did that later that night at home!!
Poppa holding Kynna with Jaylee sitting next to them
Jaylee opening her book
Aren't Gideon's nammers so stinking cute?!!
J's book from Nanny and Poppa!!
This was a really cool book-it was one of those recordable ones so she got a cool Princess Book that her Nanny is reading to her. What a great idea!! Now I just have to keep her from hitting the recording button!!!

Opening her book from Nanny and Poppa
She liked her book so much she wanted to eat it!!
Decorating Cookies with cousins at Nanny and Poppa's house
Brady's Girls in their nammers-Christmas Eve
Daddy and girls showing off their nammers!!
After trying to read through the Story of the Birth of Christ, we decided that we needed something a little more visual for our kids, so I made a book from none other then my favorite place-Shutterfly!! I had a free one so it worked out perfect!!!
Just waiting for the girls to wake up!!
Christmas morning at our house was actually celebrated twice. Jaylee woke up before Kynna and since I'm not a fan of grumpy kids on Christmas(really any day for that matter) we let them both sleep until they were ready to get up. So we did ours with Jaylee first, and then like an hour and a half later, we did it with Kynna!! It was so fun to watch their eyes light up and get so excited with each gift!!
Perfect lunch box for our little Jaylee-Pepper!!
Her stocking loot!!!
She loves this horsey!! Everyday we have to hear it's little song. And she pulls it around the house all day long!!!
It's a Henicorn!!!

Kynna was more impressed with the paper!!
And then back to Bouwhuis' we went for Christmas Day!!

Needless to say-they are both a little spoiled!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas!! But missed our Hoover family and spending time with them!!!
As hard as it is to not be able to see both families for every holiday, I think I would rather divide them up and not have to worry about going to multiple houses to see everyone!!
