Just for Poppa...

Well Mike was giving me a hard time about how I never blog about him so this one's just for you Poppa Mike!!! He's a wonderful grandpa and even though my little Jaylee likes to tease him with not giving him kisses on the lips, she loves him. And Kynna I'm sure will too!! The following pictures were taken this last Sunday at their house. You can't see Kynna's face in them but she was smiling so big for him!! She loves to play!! It was super cute!! On Sunday they were decorating their tree, with the help of Marlee and JBJ and if you look in the first picture you can see a little added extra decoration by JBJ!!

Thanks for being you!! And for Loving our girls!!

Kynna's Crib

We finally moved Kynna to the crib!! We decided it was time since she kept moving herself up to the corner of the bassinet and then would get mad because she was stuck!! She has so much more room in the crib and so far she loves it!!! And Jaylee LOVES having her in her room with her and I think she likes hearing the mobile as much as MaKynna!!

Don't ask me why J is leaning sideways for most of this movie!!
She's so excited to have her in her room and I also had to get her throwing hugs and kisses. She just started doing it one day and it's so dang cute!!!

Kynna Can...

This just in... Kynna can now hold her bottle!! J begged to feed Kynna this morning and like she often does, she got bored and left Kynna for her own entertainment. Well somehow and at sometime of Jaylee ditching MaKynna she grabbed her bottle and she held it the entire time of eating all by herself!! Poor girl has to learn these things early to defend herself from her big sister!!! She is also rolling like crazy!! She'll roll until she gets stuck and then she screams for help and she'll do it again!!! She is also developing this new super cute laugh!! I'll have to see if I can get her to do it on video!! It is so cute!!!

Preschool Santa Outing

I guess J got the short straw since she went first, or maybe it was because she had already done it the last 2 days and knows how the system works. Sit on Santa's lap, tell him what you want and then he'll give you something like a candy cane or in this case a Snowman sticker thing and a coupon for a free meal. On Thursday the 9th, our little Preschool had planned to go see Santa. Well one of the little girls was in Disneyland and poor Sawyer came down with Strep so it was just three of the little girls. We decided that since we had been talking it up to them that we would go ahead and take them to the mall. They don't let you use cameras in the cool area of seeing Santa because they want you to buy their crazy expensive ones and I wasn't about to do that. So Melissa took the girls up and I stayed behind the line and took pictures from a distance. J went first no problem, then Brecklyn went but for a quick second which is why I was only able to get 1 picture of her and Adley has a mind of her own and didn't want anything to do with him except get her snowman stickers!! I love 3 year olds!!
Well after seeing Santa the girls wanted to play in the play land area. Melissa had a couple of returns so I stayed with the girls. It was a nice outing even though we didn't do much but see Santa and play!! Brady loved it since he took Kynna and they went to the sports store!!

Layton-style Sleigh Ride...

On Wednesday the 8th, we had our #2 Santa Lap Experience, but Kynna's first time ever sitting with Santa. Layton City does this Sleigh-ride and Hot Chocolate and Cookies night for their employees and since my father-in-law is on the city council we are always invited. It's pretty cool. They have a Santa there, and 3 years ago it was the first place J had ever sat with Santa and now it was Kynna's first experience with the jolly man. We sat with Santa first, then went and got some Hot Cocoa and Cookies and the Triplett's arrived. After a little snack, we decided we would go see the lights via the sleigh-ride. I guess it's really more of a hay-ride on a trailer pulled by a tractor. It's cool but the smell from the tractor is a little overwhelming. J's favorite lights were the dinosaurs!! Once our ride was over, we went back inside and they were giving away packages of cookies and gave some to us!! It was nice since J had preschool the next day and took a package to share with her friends!!

There was no way of getting J to let Kynna sit alone!!!

J's Favorite

O Town and the first of many Santa moments

On Monday the 6th, we met up with most of the Bouwhuis family for dinner at Mandarin Palace and then over to look at the little Christmas Village in Ogden. It was pretty cool although J's favorite part was looking at the fish at the restaurant!! And it was the first of our many Santa sightings that week!!
Cute Hudson with her cocoa!!
J waiting to sit with Santa-the lights had gone off right before she went up so it took her a little longer to go sit with him. She kept telling everyone that she needed to wait just a minute. And finally she went when she was ready!!

It was a little cold and rainy so I didn't wake up Kynna to sit with Santa, more so since I knew that we had at least 2 other chances to see him that week alone.
And since this night, thanks to Daddy and JBJ, J can no longer just hop down from things, she always has to fall backwards into your arms!!

Cute Harper
Nanny and Poppa ditched out a little early, but we had to get a picture of them before they left
Some how I managed to miss the photo-opt when the Patterson's were taking a family photo but I have this one right after
Us with some random guy that felt he needed to be in our family photo
The Triplett's
The O Town tradition was a fun experience for us since only Brady had gone from our family. J enjoyed looking at the little houses and Kynna just enjoyed taking a nap while sitting warm and cozy in her stroller!!!

The Land of Sicky's

The last couple of weeks around here have not been the greatest!! J missed 2 days of school because of being sick. Once with a stomach bug in the middle of the night and then she had a slight case of croup, but nothing to be to alarmed about!! Well in the meantime, Kynna has been having a hard time finding a formula that will maybe work with her. She has been the puking queen!! We think we have finally found one that is okay with her sensitive tummy. Let's hope, I can't take anymore of the puking queen!! Poor Girl!!
But now it's just the land of almost Christmas!! J is at such a fun age for Christmas this year!! And I love that she's easily reminded that if she's not good, Santa won't bring her a present!! What am I going to use once Santa has come?????
