Happy Turkey Day (well in 2 days anyway)!!

So this is the silly song that my family sings together every year on Thanksgiving!! So I dedicate this blog to them!! I learned this song in like first grade and we've sung it ever since!!

A Turkey sat on a backyard fence and he sang this sad sad tune...
Thanksgiving in coming, gobble gobble gobble gobble and I know I'll be eatin soon.
Gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble, I'd like to run away!
Gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble gobble, I don't like Thanksgiving Day!! HEY!!

We even have this cool dance to go with it!! So to all of you who have never heard the thanksgiving song sang, good luck with it!! And just run around all crazy for the cool dance and you'll be great!!
Hope you all have a great Turkey Day!!

Halloween!! Just a few days late!!

So for Halloween I got a little crazy!! I decided after finding this way cute costume and not wanting to spend $80 on it, that I would make it myself. Crazy, I know!! So I used the picture as my pattern and put it together. It turned out cute with parts turning out better then others. I made all of it, even down to the wings and bucket!! She was so funny with the bucket!! She loved it!!
On Halloween, we had all the kids over for dinner and a little pumpkin cookie decorating moment. It was fun to watch their excitement for trick or treating!! We went to the church for the Trunk or Treat, but even though we got a TON of candy there the kids decided it wasn't enough, so we hit the pavement!! They got so much candy it is crazy!! Oh Jaylee is with my sister Stephanie and her husband in this picture below. I also made their costumes. They were little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad wolf. Jason doesn't have his costume on and Steph is a little relaxed in her's too. But they were way cute!! Nikki and Elizabeth were BatGirl(s) and Brian and Adam were Power Rangers. Brady and I were the only lame ones with not so cool costumes as we put ours together that morning!! We were a golfer and a golfers caddy!! I know Lame!! But we swear to be cool next year!!
Jaylee finally got the hang of things about 5 cars into the Trunk or Treat. And when she did, she got this wild idea that everyone needed to give her more or something. She would take her first candy and put it into her bucket, but then she would stand in front of the people until they gave her more, and most of them did!! It was funny but we tried to catch her before everyone would give her more, but they were very good to her. I really think she enjoyed her first Trick or Treating experience!!
This is her bucket after the Trunk or Treating at the Church. She had so much it was Crazy!! But it was a fun Halloween!!

Jaylee and Laundry

Jaylee is very much her Daddy and Nanny's Baby!! Brady was doing laundry the other night and since Jaylee is loving the helper title, Brady sat her up on the washer and handed her some laundry to put in the washer. She loved it up there!! I guess she'll follow in her Daddy and Nanny's way and be great at getting stains out of clothes!! She's getting so big and is such a great helper!!

Thanks Grammy and Papa for the Dippy Dippy!!

So my parents sent Jaylee some money to go out for dippy dippy since it's her favorite thing ever!! They love how she calls ketchup dippy dippy and since we're sure the love of it is because of Papa Mark, maybe they feel responsible for it!! So we took her to Applebee's and of course she loved it!! It's so funny to see her eat her fries and dippy dippy. Thanks Grammy and Papa!!

Grand Canyon and Bedrock City

So for Columbus Day, we went to the Grand Canyon with my sister, Stephanie and her family. It was a blast!! And really fun for Brady since he had never been. Jaylee was fun only because she loves to roam and decided to be extremely independent that day!! This first picture is of her on a bench by herself since she threw a fit when anyone else tried to have a seat next to her!! It was very funny but she is becoming so stubborn and independent!! Well on our way home, we found this cool little place called Bedrock City, home of Fred, Wilma, Betty, Barney, Pebbles and BamBam. It was cute and if it had been a little more taken care of it could have been a really cool place!! We had a good time though!! This is only a couple pictures from the day, but it gives a little idea!!

Thanks Steph, Jason, Nikki and Elizabeth for letting us catch a ride with you guys and have a blast!!

Hello!! Hello!! Hello!!

Well it's been way to long for my liking!! We are watching my brothers boys for a few days and with that comes the internet!! So things have been hectic around here. We moved into our new home and we love it!! I wasn't really thinking and didn't bring all the pictures I've been collecting for our blog once I was able to update with lots of time!! We are finally starting to feel settled in this new area and new adventure. It's been a lot tougher then we ever expected!! But we keep trecking on!!

Update with our Jaylee Bug-
She no longer calls Mommy-mommy or Daddy-daddy. It's now Em or Emmy for Mommy and she calls Daddy, DaDo. It is so fun being able to be home with her and watching her grown into a little girl instead of being a baby. It's so crazy to see how much she has grown. She loves fries and Dippy dippy(aka Ketchup). But even though she is growing up, we still can't get her to get rid of her dang bottle. It drives me crazy!! We've been trying since she turned one, but she is way to stubborn to do things our way!! I think she gets it from her Daddy!! LOL!!

So all with the Arizona Bouwhuis' is well!! We really are alive and even though I haven't blogged lately, we still check up with all of our blogging friends!!

Good-bye for awhile...

Brady, Jaylee and I are moving to our new home here in Arizona today and so until we get settled and organized and all that jazz, it might be awhile until we get internet and cable. So for now I'm saying goodbye but when we do get it I'll make sure to catch everyone up with what's been going on in our lives!! And when I go to visit my siblings I'll make sure to take pictures and post on here until I get things set up!!
So TATA for now!!!
