Grand Canyon and Bedrock City

So for Columbus Day, we went to the Grand Canyon with my sister, Stephanie and her family. It was a blast!! And really fun for Brady since he had never been. Jaylee was fun only because she loves to roam and decided to be extremely independent that day!! This first picture is of her on a bench by herself since she threw a fit when anyone else tried to have a seat next to her!! It was very funny but she is becoming so stubborn and independent!! Well on our way home, we found this cool little place called Bedrock City, home of Fred, Wilma, Betty, Barney, Pebbles and BamBam. It was cute and if it had been a little more taken care of it could have been a really cool place!! We had a good time though!! This is only a couple pictures from the day, but it gives a little idea!!

Thanks Steph, Jason, Nikki and Elizabeth for letting us catch a ride with you guys and have a blast!!

Hello!! Hello!! Hello!!

Well it's been way to long for my liking!! We are watching my brothers boys for a few days and with that comes the internet!! So things have been hectic around here. We moved into our new home and we love it!! I wasn't really thinking and didn't bring all the pictures I've been collecting for our blog once I was able to update with lots of time!! We are finally starting to feel settled in this new area and new adventure. It's been a lot tougher then we ever expected!! But we keep trecking on!!

Update with our Jaylee Bug-
She no longer calls Mommy-mommy or Daddy-daddy. It's now Em or Emmy for Mommy and she calls Daddy, DaDo. It is so fun being able to be home with her and watching her grown into a little girl instead of being a baby. It's so crazy to see how much she has grown. She loves fries and Dippy dippy(aka Ketchup). But even though she is growing up, we still can't get her to get rid of her dang bottle. It drives me crazy!! We've been trying since she turned one, but she is way to stubborn to do things our way!! I think she gets it from her Daddy!! LOL!!

So all with the Arizona Bouwhuis' is well!! We really are alive and even though I haven't blogged lately, we still check up with all of our blogging friends!!

Good-bye for awhile...

Brady, Jaylee and I are moving to our new home here in Arizona today and so until we get settled and organized and all that jazz, it might be awhile until we get internet and cable. So for now I'm saying goodbye but when we do get it I'll make sure to catch everyone up with what's been going on in our lives!! And when I go to visit my siblings I'll make sure to take pictures and post on here until I get things set up!!
So TATA for now!!!

Jaylee's first OUCH!!

So Jaylee took her first stubble walking (really I should say running) the other day. We had met up with my brother and sister and their kids since they were all over on this side of the mountain. Well we decided to take the kids to the park so they could run and play. Well the park was on a slight hill and Jaylee is into this running thing lately. So she gets going and is headed downhill and wipes out!! Her front teeth that are coming in, bled for a moment but there is no lasting mark there!! But here poor nose has quite the OUCH mark!!! My mom said she could be the poster child for orphaned children!!!This is the first morning morning after!!
And the 2 below are a couple of days later!!

3 Little Girls...

While we were in Utah we were able to get a new picture of the little girls!! It's crazy to see how much they have grown and how different from each other they are!! Harper and Tenley are 19 months and Jaylee is almost 18 months. It's a lot harder to get them to sit still and cooperate now then when they were just babies!!
Harper, Tenley and Jaylee

Hudson had been playing with the girls through the window, and when she took off, all 3 girls were looking for her. The picture below is one of my favorites. And look you can see Hudson running off on the right side.

I love how Harper reminds the other girls that she's the oldest and the boss!!

Trip to Utah-it's LONG!!

Last week, we took a little trip to Utah. Brady had flown down for this job interview and left our other car and some other things, and didn't even get to say goodbye to his family. So we decided that before the store opened, we'd take a few days and go up there. We ended up staying for longer then we had planned when Brady found out that he had a few extra days off. Jaylee loved being at the airport. She walked up and down the terminal for 2 1/2 hours. Only stopping a few times to get water or to throw a temper tantrum in the middle of the walkway. She was so excited to be free!! She really did good on the plane as well. We gave her some milk on the take-off and landing and she did great!! There was only one set of tears that only lasted for a moment because she couldn't have something and then the flight attendant blew some bubbles for her so she was once again happy!!

Thursday and Friday we mostly ran some errands and got some things done that we had to take care of and finish up in Utah. But on Saturday, we were able to go to our nephew Pacey's Birthday Party Carnival and see all of the cousins. Marlee and JBJ are so creative and think of everything!! It was fun to just sit back and watch all the kids have a great time and to watch how Jaylee would just light up to see someone her size. Tenley is much more adventurous then Jaylee, but Jaylee just loved following her around. When Tenley got in the pool, I'm glad Jaylee wasn't there to join her for that one though!! I Love the way Tenley and Jaylee are sizing each other up in this picture!!

The favorite part had to be the pie throwing stand!! I was surprised by how many of the kids wanted to be the one that had the pie thrown in the face!! What great sports they are!!KadenBirthday Boy-PaceyLaneyAnd Marlee getting JBJ

This is Jaylee stealing cake from one of the kids that didn't finish all of theirs. Like she didn't get enough or something!! I would hate to see if I let her have junk often how she would be!!

In Jaylee's little bag, were some bracelets and oh my was she so excited!! She played with them for so long and then threw a fit when we picked her up to leave!! She just loved them!!

After the party, Brady and I went to his Grandma's grave. It's been over a year now since she died and we hadn't been back since the funeral. I know it's not where she is but it is a resting place for her body, and maybe I'm weird but I think there's a reverence there and a high respect level at commentaries. Maybe it's because of my brothers that I feel this way, but I like to go and be there. Weird I know!! Jaylee was so funny, she kept picking the grass off her her headstone. It brought back so many wonderful memories of a wonderful lady!! A few other pictures from our trip...
Jaylee and Jolene

This is where Jaylee would end up in the morning. She would just sleep on the mattress on the floor but most nights would end up off of it.
Jaylee and Harper kept giving each other kisses!! It was so cute!!
Jaylee still following around Tenley!! She just loves people her size!!

Jaylee really thinks she's hot stuff now that she can walk!! And let me tell you she loves her FREEDOM!!

Jaylee with the Garn twins!! Adley is the blonde and Brecklyn is the darker hair one!!

This was the only way we could get these 3 in a picture together!! They are crazy!!

Saying goodbye to Nanny and Poppa was a tough day!! We loved spending time with them and seeing everyone in Utah!! Thanks so much for everything Mike and Shirley!! We Love you guys and we'll see you again soon!!!

Things don't always come across like you want them to...

I've been informed that one of my post caused a few hurt feelings, and I want those people to understand that I didn't mean anything by it. I was merely trying to say thank you to those people that helped us move, not point fingers or make anyone feel bad. I truly am sorry to all of you!! I guess the biggest thing that I need to remember is that words in writing don't come across like I would say them out loud. Again I'm sorry and I will watch this in the future!!
