Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year, most of our celebration was on Saturday night!! We had a great time. We went up to Nanny and Poppa's around 3pm to start the fun!! We carved Pumpkins first, then we made Witch's Brew(Homemade RootBeer) while Nanny and Aunt Marlee worked on the Snake Sandwich. The food was great of course!! Then the kids went Trick-or-Treating. They went to a few houses and decided it was a little wet to walk, so good thing we have a van, they all jumped in there and the Dad's took them around. They all got a bunch of candy and I love that I can hold it over my 3 year-old's head!! Halloween is becoming more entertaining then ever!! J had like 2 Starburst but that was pretty much it, but around 3am she woke up crying that she needed her Candy!! And so begins the real candy addiction!!! It wasn't so funny at 3am but now it's pretty comical!!! She loved Trick-or-Treating this year!! Brady said she was running from house to house to get more and when they would try to give her something, she would reach in and take another handful or she would tell them what she wanted instead of what they were offering!! She knows what she likes!! Nanny and Poppa were giving out BIG candy bars and she got 2 from them and then yesterday when we were leaving they had a few left and she took another!! We have candy for months now!!! Although yesterday we did our family pictures and we used skittles as a bribe to get her to keep smiling and taking pictures!!
J and her pumpkin. I let her use a marker to draw the face that she wanted carved but I wasn't about to let her try the knife thing yet. She did a pretty good job with her shapes!!!
