Pioneer Days

A few days before the 24th of July, they have the parade floats on display down in Salt Lake, so on Brady's day off, we took the girls down to see them.  We had explained to Jaylee about the Pioneers and why we celebrate this day, so she decided that she needed to dress like a cowgirl since the pioneers rode horses.  She is so funny and has her own since of style!!  It was a lot of fun and they had a lot of fun activities for the kids!!!  We will probably make it a new tradition!!!

This was Jaylee's favorite float and it ended up winning the  theme award!!

One of the floats had this little turtle that they let the kids take a ride on.  Jaylee loved it but since they didn't have a horse on the float, it wasn't her favorite!!

 Kynna liked this doggy

Then on Monday the 25th, we decided to take the girls to the Ogden Days of 47 Parade.  It was pretty hot sitting out there, but it was fun to see J so excited, especially when the horses would go by!!  She's a little obsessed with horses!!

Nanny's Birthday Dinner

For Shirley's Birthday dinner, we went to Chili's!!  Most of the kids were there as well.  It was nice to get together and celebrate her special day and of course it's always nice not to have to cook!!!!

Smore's in the City...

Jaylee had been begging us for awhile to have smores so at the store one day she grabbed all the stuff for them and begged her daddy to have them.  Of course he gave in to her and we decided that since we live in the city and don't have a fire pit so we pulled the BBQ grills off and used the flame from it to roast our marshmallows.  They turned out great and we really had a good time doing it.  Then Jaylee showed us how great she is getting at riding her bike up and down the hill in front of our home!!

4th of July

For the 4th of July, we met up with Brady's family up at Snowbird.  We went up Sunday and spent the night up there, and then played most of the day on Monday.  Brady was off work for the 4th so it was nice to go up there.  Brady's family grew up going to Snowbird like every year.  I've heard all about how fun it is to go up there so it was nice to experience it for myself.
The kids watching a movie on Nanny and Poppa's bed
On the 4th, we drove down to a park in Murray that was having a carnival thing.  The kids had a blast!!  Jaylee just loved the little climbing slide thing!!

MaKynna was cool sitting in the stroller
We went home just after dinner and got a couple of pictures of the girls together in their dresses.  We then put Kynna to bed and went outside to watch the fireworks.  It's so nice to be able to watch them from our front yard.  And it was fun to see J actually excited for them for once.  She kept asking us if she could go see them this year.  It was fun to hear her excitement!!!

MaKynna at 11 Months...

So before Kynna turns 1 in a couple of days, I figured I should post a few of her 11 month pictures!!  She started taking a few steps just before she turned 11 months and now she walks most of the time!!  She will crawl every now and then when she wants to get somewhere really fast or if she's trying to get away from mommy or Jaylee, usually when she has something she knows someone is going to take from her!!!  These pictures were taken at Brady's parents house and the jewelry was borrowed from Nanny!!!!

I will get back to blogging...

Well since our ancient computer has been having issues and not liking the Internet so much, I have gotten way behind in blogging.  Hopefully now that things seem to be better with Internet connections, I'll get our blog up to date!!  We have been really busy lately, and now we're starting to plan for a special little girls 1st birthday!!!  Only 2 1/2 weeks until she will be 1!!  That is so crazy to me how fast the last year has gone!!!  Oh well!!  I did manage to change the background and such but now I have to go and act like a mom and wife and get some dinner for my family!!! Hope all is well with each of you!!!  Happy Blogging!!!
