The Real Father's Day...

So these are pictures from the night that Brady got his early gift as well as his Father's Day gifts. Brady was so cute when he saw his gift from Jaylee. He just kept saying it's so cute, and how he wished J was awake to hug for it. It was cute!!! He's such a great Daddy!!!

At least I know why our Daughter gets so excited about Candy!! Brady is a walking sweet tooth!!

Brady kind-of broke one of the fingers off one of the hands and then another
J loves to tease her Daddy!! She wouldn't give him his card and then she'd start to and pull it away. She's a silly girl!!
First gift-A new Cubs Shirt!!
Next- his old man gift that he requested!! New socks!! We got him like 5 packs of them!!
Happy Father's Day Old Man!!!
And last but not least- A new pair of shorts!! Brady LOVES these long basketball shorts!!
We think Brady had a nice Father's day!! We made him some yummy foods, of course after church since we go at 8 am and I worked ad set the night before!! Anyways, Happy Father's Day Brady!! Thanks for being the best Daddy in the world!!!
We LOVE You!!!

An Early Father's Day gift...

So my crazy ideas have got the best of me yet again. I saw an idea for this Father's Day Project and of course loved it and had to try it. I told my sister about it and she wanted her girls to do it also. Brady had to close tonight and so we did it today. They turned out cute but a few things I know to do differently with this type of project next time. Of course when Brady gets home it will be waiting for him tonight but J is of course already in bed. She loved doing this project. She's really been into the tracing hands lately and she'll get her paper and crayons out and tell me mommy hand so she can trace it. Some days my hands almost look a little normal but I almost always have some kind of crazy growth or sharp point for fingers. She was all over having her hand traced once she knew what Aunt Steph was going to do to her.
She is so proud of this project!!
Jaylee playing peek-a-boo with the bag of candy
Lizzi, Nikki, Aunt Steph and J-Bug all working on their Father's Day projects
J putting the candy into her Daddy's jar
She had to do it by herself, why am I not shocked about that one?!!
Really she just wanted to steal a few pieces and think she was getting past mommy with it. Even if I hadn't noticed her taking one here and there, the chocolate on her face would have given it away!! Silly girl!!
J-Bug decorating her little hands for her Daddy
Nikki with her finished project
Lizzy with her project
One thing I would do differently with this is get a smaller jar. It didn't seem as big as it was until I started putting candy into it and had to go get another bag of M&M's because it wasn't holding the stick things up!! We will have candy for months now too!!!
Her little tag made from her hand print!!
I know the real reason Jaylee is so proud of this little project is because she knows that she'll be able to talk Daddy into giving her some CANDY!!!
Happy Early Father's Day Brady!!! We love you so much!! Hope you enjoy this part of your gift!!!

Snow Cones...

One of our favorite things about Summer, is Snow Cones!! We were given this little Snow Cone maker from my grandma and decided to finally pull it out!! Brady had talked Jaylee into talking to me about getting the stuff and so while we were at the store that was all she could think about. She was so excited when we picked out our flavoring. We went with Cherry since it was the one that we could all agree with. We will be enjoying many Snow Cones with this little gadget!!!

Jaylee wouldn't drink or use a straw for her snow cone it was a fingers only moment!! To each their own!!
The Snow Cone master!! Brady is so cute!! I think he enjoyed it more then Jaylee!!
We had taken off Jaylee's shirt since it was white and the snow cone was red!! Not the best combination!! She absolutely LOVED the Snow Cones!!!

Brady and Jaylee's trip...

Brady and Jaylee had a nice vacation to Utah last Saturday through Tuesday night. Brady had to go to Utah for some personal business and we let Jaylee go with him so she could see all of her Utah family!! They both had a GREAT time!! Thank you Nanny and Poppa for letting them bunk at your pad and to Aunt Marlee, Aunt Brittany and everyone else for a fun time!! And for taking such great care of both of them!! Oh and a disclaimer, she was with her daddy so if outfits look the same from one day to another just know that I packed PLENTY of outfits and bows to match!!! I love you Brady!!!

J-Bug at Mommy's favorite Pizza place, The Pizza Factory!! Heck it's probably my favorite Restaurant for that matter!! Brady told me that he didn't want to take anymore pictures there then this because he was afraid I'd be jealous!!!
They were able to go and visit Brady's Grandpa and get a few pictures with him. Grandpa perks up a little when the little kids come to visit and with Jaylee was no different!!
4 Generations of Bouwhuis'!! I know it's not a true generation picture because Jaylee is a girl and not a boy!! But I wanted it just in case Grandpa isn't around when we do finally get around to having a boy!!
Of course Jaylee likes to do things on her own terms!! Brady had been trying to get her to give Great Grandpa kisses and hugs before they left and she kept saying "NO", but then when she was ready she went up to Great Grandpa and said "kisses, hugs". I'm so glad Brady captured these moments. My sister-in-law suggested Black and white for them but I liked the sepia a little more!! You were right Megan, they do look great in another tone!!! Thanks for the suggestion!!
We Love you Great Grandpa!!!
So even though I missed them like Crazy, I am glad that Brady and Jaylee had a nice visit with our Bouwhuis Family!! When I picked them up at the airport Jaylee just went on and on about the plane and playing with cousins and Nanny and Poppa this and that!! It was nice to see that she also had a great time!! Heck she must not have missed me to much since she wouldn't talk to me on the phone the entire time she was gone!!! I know she did though because she wouldn't let me leave her sight at all and I had to carry her!!
