We spent Christmas this year in Arizona with our Hoover family. The weather was of course wonderful and perfect the entire time. We drove down since it was so much cheaper to drive all of us instead of flying. The girls did really well in the car both down and back. Kynna on the last day threw a fit when it was time to put her in her car seat, but she calmed down very quickly!! We spent about 10 days down there and on the road. We had a great time except when we all managed to catch the flu bug. I of course had to have it on Christmas Eve, but it passed quickly. Almost everyone was over on Christmas Eve for dinner. We had Mexican food from a little place down the road that was very good. And then we had the traditional reading of Twas the Night before Christmas by my mom. Kynna went to bed pretty early since she was in total meltdown, so Jaylee opened her nammers and got the cookies and milk ready for Santa on her own. So funny story about the cookies. My mom had to show some property to a client that came in from out of state, so she left my sister Sarah and I to make some sugar cookies for the kids to decorate and for Santa. Well she suggested that we double the recipe, however Say and I decided that she was off her rocker and that since the cookie cutters were big, that we need much more. So we quadrupled the recipe and it was WAY to much. We laughed so hard thinking that maybe mom really does know what she is talking about. It was so funny!! But we learned our lesson!! Mom really does know her stuff!!!
We had made my parents their stockings a few years ago, so this year, since Aunt Say is living with them, we decided that she needed a great big stocking as well!!!
J showing off the cookies and milk she left for Santa
Showing off her huge stocking!! She was setting it closer to the fireplace for Santa to see and hopefully fill for her!!
