More planting...

So on Tuesday, Brady and Jaylee planted the rest of our garden plants that have been hanging out in the kitchen. Daddy put on his hat and Jaylee was determined that she needed one too but her swim hat is the only one that is remotely like his so she had to wear it. While Daddy set up everything, Jaylee played on her slide!!

Who wouldn't want to be married to this guy????!!!!!

Now all of our garden is planted and doing very well!! It's been really hot the last couple of days so we had to put up the shade cloth!! We have a couple of tomatoes that are doing REALLY well with fruit already on them. Jaylee just loves to be outside and water the plants!! It's her special time with Daddy that Mommy can't help with!!

Owl Family Update:

We were in Home Depot last night checking out a few things so I had to get some new pics of the little Owl family. The babies are getting bigger and are venturing out of the nest a little!! The mommy was no where to be seen, which I guess is a sign that the babies are almost ready to leave the nest, and of course the dad was an aisle away keeping an eye on the babies.
Below: One of the babies in the same spot we saw the mommy the other day!!
Below: The daddy watching out for the babies
These pictures are a little blurry. It was getting dark and the outside lights had not yet come on!!

Mother's Day projects...

On Friday and Saturday, I was watching my sister's 2 girls and we all decided to do a mother's day project for their mom. Well of course Jaylee thinks she can do everything that all the big kids can do so she made one too. I told Brady he had to help her finish it since I wasn't about to make my own present!! It's still not finished!! Nikki and Lizzi's turned out really cute though and I know their mommy will love it!!

And after project mother's day, they got dressed and I made the girls let me do their hair. It's so nice doing hair on a girl that will actually sit still and do what you ask!! Lizzi's turned out super cute!!
Nikki wanted pig tails and braids so I did a rendition of those styles but a little different!! It was cute also!!

Her first pair of Nike's

We are such a Nike family!! However I'm not into the whole spending a lot for a pair of shoes that they'll never wear out at this age. While we were in the valley, I found these little Nike's for less then $10 and had to get them!! Jaylee really needed a pair of tennis shoes anyways so we were planning to buy some and just got really lucky with these!!

They are just so dang cute!!

The Rest of Brady's Birthday gift...

I have a dear friend who gave us a GREAT hook-up for a hotel while we were in the valley for the game!! You know who you are and we want to say Thanks again!! We had a great time!! We originally weren't going to take Jaylee but she was a little sick and with all the scare of the Swine flu, we thought it would be better to take her with us!! And besides it was partly from her too!!

We had dinner at Pancho's. I love this place!! I only go like every 2-5 years and it's great!! Brady was okay with it but not his favorite!! Sorry Dear but thanks for letting me go!!After dinner, we went back to the hotel and went Swimming!! They have all of these cool Cabana's by the pool. It's just pretty!! Jaylee loved it of course and didn't want to get out but it was getting way late!!We had a great time celebrating Brady's Birthday!! Now we just need his birthday to come so we can do the rest of the celebrating!!

Cubs vs Arizona Diamondbacks-they lost

So this was Brady's birthday present from Jaylee and I. We sat in the bleachers but they were GREAT seats, I was surprised!! Chase Field is way cool probably my favorite so far!! Too bad the cubs did so bad it would have been even better!! Hope you enjoyed your birthday present Brady!!

"Don't look so excited to be here!!"
These are up at the Sandlot which is a playground area for kids on the 3rd floor of the Stadium. Pretty cool!! Jaylee and I went up there a couple of times during the game when she needed a break from staying in one place!!

Jaylee enjoying her hot dog!!
And her drink!!

Above-Ceiling closed
Below-Ceiling is being opened
It was much nicer with the ceiling closed. You could feel the air conditioning and all.
Right before the game started the opened up the ceiling and we were right in the hot Phoenix Sun!! But only for about 45 min. and then it was nice again!!

You know the game isn't so great when you and everyone around you would rather watch your 2 year old eat ice cream!!

You think she enjoyed the Ice Cream?

Not such a great sign for a ball game when she falls asleep!!
The cubs got killed 10-0. It was bad!!
We left after the top of the 8th!! Yikes!!
Maybe next year when the cubs come to town, they'll do better then 1 out of 3!! Funny thing about Arizona, there were just as many Cubs fans as there were D-Backs fans!! It was great!! And we had a blast!!

The Little Owl Family that lives at Home Depot

So the Home Depot where Brady works has this cute little Owl family that lives out in the garden department. And they are right there for everyone to see!! The mommy made a nest up on the top shelf on top of a bag of lawn stuff and of course they have just left that area alone!!
This is the Daddy!! He is big and VERY protective!!

Here's the watchful mommy!! She is only a couple feet from her babies, kind of up above so she can see them at all times!! She just kept staring at me while I was taking pictures!! Kind of scary!!

And then there are the 2 babies. They never popped their heads out at the same time but they are cute!!
Jaylee and I went over to see them the other day, and she loved them!! She did lose interest pretty quickly when Daddy had to go help another customer though. She kept calling them birds and made her cute WOW sounds while looking up at the Daddy. He was out for all to see and right underneath him in fact. It was cool!!
